This Fall marks Jennifer’s ninth year as Hillel’s Executive Director.  A Cleveland, Ohio native, Jennifer Chestnut received a Bachelors of Science in Advertising from Syracuse University with a minor in Jewish Studies and her Masters in Non Profit Organizations from Case Western Reserve University’s Mandel School for Non Profit Organizations. Prior to working at Hillel, she worked in marketing and recruitment for Israel programs at the Nesiya Institute and the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland. Jennifer and her family live in Akron, Ohio. She enjoys exercising, playing with her kids, Seth, Martha and Jason and spending time with friends and husband Sam.

Hillel’s professional staff come from Higher Education and Jewish Education backgrounds. Hillel staff is always available to meet with students for questions about the universities, roommate problems, discussions of serious issues or just plain schmoozing.  Hillel staff work closely with students developing leadership and resume building skills applicable to many career goals regardless of academic major.
